update

Well I cleaned up the blog some. It has been a while since I posted anything. In truth that is my fault. Blaming a computer crash is not the full truth though due to the crash I did lose some images, which of course makes me quite upset as it would any artist. So I am now on the mission to retake some photos and make them better than before!
I am having a show in November so figuring out how to work a collection of mainly photographs is a new challenge for me, but not one I shall shy away from. I do hold the fear of hanging it up by myself due to the fact the friend who acts as my consultant is unavailable during the weekends and I am a rather stubborn person and would like to have the collection hanging up for the greatest amount of time.
Doing this shall not be cheap with the coast of frames and such but I believe it may just be worth it in the long run. My last show was a joint show where I showed off a lot of my paintings of octopi. But recently for some unexplained reason I am finding solace through the viewfinder.
This may be due to the impersonal nature of capturing a scene in which any one could inhabit or it may be because I am finding a way to tell about my past in images.  Most of my images that involve water draw me back to my child hood. Summers at the beach. Or maybe it is just that water calms me. Or could it be that the sea always calls to me being that my grandfather was a navy man. There are many questions about life that cannot be answered but we still try and photography seems to be my exploration of such questions.
